Had a busy and tiring day, starting off the day with the 8.5km run. Was raining quite heavily initially, luckily it stopped just before the run. did a slow 47.18 min for it. A very slow timing. The first 4.3km, was still ok at 22.30min, but as expected, I was trying to get back my breathing and wasn't very successful. The next 4.2km was a torturing one, struggling to get my pace back. It was a tough fight with my mental as I know my body was telling me " STOP". Had to tell myself to carry on and I will never give up. Especially a short distance of only 8.5km, which use to be within my fav distance between 5km-12km, there shouldn't be any problem with completion. Had to give my timing a miss and drag myself to finish it. Gab fared slightly better, but he started off too fast hitting 4.05 for first km and 4.10 for 2nd km. That wore him out too fast and eventually only finish in a time of 39min. Nonetheless I'm determined to regain my fitness as soon as the doc clear me as fit.
Met Hong Sheng and Yu Sheng for lunch. Saw a nice and unique pair of running shoe at Running lab @ velocity. But it cost a whopping $249. really tempted to add it to my Platoon of shoes. haha.. Supposed to be me buying shoes, but ended up HS is more interested in it.. Same thing happened when we went to Kino at Bugis. Eason wanted to buy a book and it ended being me buying instead. haha.. Kinda funny when the person who intended to purchase something ended up being empty handed and those who accompany him bought something instead. Apparently its better to go shopping without a fix mind of what to purchase. Really nice to meet up with the 2 of them just now. thanks for accompanying me to look for the shoes. =)
Had dinner at NYNY with fang. been a long time since i had a good meal, the tight budget i set for myself has restricted to my meals to be only in the Hawker. Today is an exception. Pamper myself once in a while.Fang gave me quite a bit of insight abt hall and residence life, appreciate it and thanks. But still can't make up my mind. have a bit more time to come to a decision. I would want to have a more informed decision.
