Singapore Zoological Garden and Night Safari

Went to Singapore Zoological Gardens yesterday.. and it was such auspicious day. 080808. What a day to choose to visit the zoo. =)

Started off the day at NUS, SRC, cos of the RAG day. First time attended RAG. witness how siao onz Uni students can still get. Some of the floats were really impressive. Lots of work have been put into it, and the dance too.. well done to all those who performed..

Went down to CCK, to transfer bus to ZOO, and we started our walk ard the park. Who says singapore don't have place to walk. Try walking in there.. we can't finish exploring the place in 4hrs plus can. Previously came with sch, LSM1103 for a short visit.. yes.. really short.. that I can't have a clear view of the animals. So now I'm back to slowly enjoy the sights. Quite happy with the outing.. Went for 2 animal shows, the Water show that had penguin, sea lion.. and the other one, Elephants of asia.. how much effort had been made into training this animals.. it's unthinkable..

Here are a few photos.. The rest on facebook.

It was a bit of a rush towards the end, cos it was closing le.. Think we missed out on 2-3 animals. oh well.. there were just a bit too many primates.. not really so into primates. haha..

Went to Night safari after that.. A totally different experience.. costly though.. Only remb vising it once before.. faint memory of taking the tram only. We took the tram for a guided tour, entering parts of the park where walking cannot be reached. Had a close encounter with many species of the animals. Think it's really a cool thing to see the animals at night cos most of them are nocturnal. The walking trails are rather long. took us abt hr plus to walk thru it. seriously, if you don't take the tram, I think would miss out on quite a bit of it. They are just so Jian Zha.. $22, excluding tram. cannot see much one lor.. might as well just put $32 for all tickets.

We ended off with the Creatures of the night. An animal show that started at 10.30pm. Lucky that there was an extra show yesterday. All in all, the day was really well spent. Enjoyed our stroll through the park, having little competition to see who can spot the animals first, and those random fun we had along the way.. Thanks dear.. love ya.. =)
