Played in the NUS open yesterday with Brendon and had an enjoyable day. Didn't start off exactly very well, with me making one silly mistake. Thankfully after that I picked up the pace and went for it thereafter.. Somehow with me playing most of the hands and some careful defending, we managed to pip the rest of the pairs and emerged 2nd in the student category. WOOT~! A total of 50 pairs took part and we finished 8th Overall, 2nd as student pair.
My second "2nd" medal from the NUS open, the first being the NUS open in 2008 with siew yik. Good to end off my uni life with a medal from NUS, but definitely hope this is not the last. This coming weekend got NTU open. Yet to find a partner, will see how it goes.
Couldnt' find the photo that they took on the prize presentation day.. Rawr.. hopefully i'll receive it eventually.
