Back from cyclohunt'07. Finished 2nd, 3 mins behind the first team. Kinda wasted,cos we were actually in the lead, but we slacked off towards our last stop, and decided to take a long break before coming back. If not we could have easily gotten 1st.
The route was fairly easy... There were 2 routes, north and the east. we got the North route, and Marcus and Ben are both quite familiar with it, so no prob. went to 10 check points, starting from East coast park..
1. Cedar Girls
2. Serangoon central
3. Serangoon gardens.
4. Kovan
5. Hougang plaza.
6. Jalan Kayu
7. Lower Pierce reservoir
8. Upper thomson road
9. Yio Chu Kang Mrt
10. Bishan Stadium
and finally back to east coast. Covering a total distance of 65km. In a time of 4hr. Including all the navigation and stuff, the pace was quite fast. The 2 energizer bunnies in my team are crazy. Just keep chionging, and I was the weakest link, cos I'm the only one on Mountain bike, and the 3 of them are on roadies. But still managed to catch up for most of it. Very tired though.
Started the race around 10.10pm, finished aroud 2.10am. But Had to wait till the last group to be back and that makes it about 6am. Zzz... Waited for nearly 4 hrs, was killing time by chit chatting, and towards the back, I was KO. Just slept on the bench. and to get the Prize, which is a blinker and head lamp, with a $50, restaurant voucher, which is rather useless, when its split with 4. Kinda wasted my time waiting for it actually. Should have just came home earlier to sleep..
Now I'm off to sleep, after a sleepless night, I'm very tired.. Time to recharge, and prepare for the tuition later at night. Still need to study and prepare for CAs. Sianz....
Z monster is calling me and its time to go... YAwnz... ( hair just got dry... Finally.. )
