Mitch Albom

This is the first time I'm ever writing a book review, because the content of the book is close to my heart and I fully appreciate and have learnt a lot from it.
Why do people only start to feel the importance of someone or something when they've lost it ? Most people take things for granted when it's easily obtained and regret when its lost. For some they are lucky that some things can be reversed and they've got a second chance to appreciate what they've missed. But for some they don't. How are you ever going to make up for the dead? It'll never be done. Thus in this Book " For One More Day " It shows what the author would like to be done if he was given just one more day with his mum who has passed away a few yrs ago. Its a very touching book, showing the motherly love, his regrets as a son, for not being filial and going against his mum and his regrets as a poor dad, who didn't really care much for her daughter. And the most important lesson I picked up from this is the need to show appreciation to all that you care whenever you can, and treasure those that are good to you. Never take anybody for granted. For you will never know whether that's the last time you will ever see him/her again.
If you appreciate the person's effort. Show it.
If you like the person. Say It.
If you are sorry for what you have done. Apologise.
This things are not that difficult to be done. Its just whether we have the courage to do it and whether we are willing to go through the process. More often than not., its not done, and it'll never be done ever again. To prevent that from happening, DO it when chance is presented right infront of you. And you will not live with any regrets.
