World Harmony Run

Woke up early in the morning to go for the World Harmony Run ( WHR ) at Bukit Gombak. Quite siao to travel all the way there at 7 am, but I guess for the cause, its worth it.

( Photo Taken Before the Start of the run )

Did a total of 23km approx from 9am to 2pm. Started off at Bukit Gombak stadium and ended at Esplanade. In between with 5 stop over at 2 Mosque, 1 Buddhist Temple, 1 Hindu Temple and 1 Sikh Temple. It was an interesting run, with the intention to spread World Harmony to everybody regardless of all religion. Everybody was very warmly welcomed by the host of the respective places of worship, and at each place there was some reception given to us. Mostly in terms of sandwiches, fruits and drinks. It actually provides a rare chance for us to visit the Hindu temple and the Sikh Temple.

( I just like the Blue colour Theme Flag. )

The weather was really tortmenting. A very very very hot and humid day. Honestly, its quite tough to run in such condition. Plus we stop over every now and then, making it easier for the muscles to get cramped. Adding all the reception food that was given to us, Wohoo... exciting way to challenge the run. The planned route and end point was that we are supposed to end it at National Stadium, but due to the terrible weather, the organiser decided to call it an end to prevent anybody from getting heat strokes or heat exhaustion. Thus, we ended it at the Merlion and took a group photo.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed the run and had fun during the process, knowing a few other runners from the sgforums. It was also good to have Daniel running along side with me. I just prefer running with somebody that I can talk to. Very boring to run alone for such long hours. Will grab him to run with me again.. haha....

Accompanied Daniel to "help " Eugene Yap to earn commision, but would say it was a waste of my time. They were trying to sell the True Fitness membership to me. Which in NO WAY will I buy it at them moment. One no $$, 2, Totally out of the way, 3, WASTE OF MONEY. Nevermind about that. Just take it that it was an enrichment trip to a finess club.

Bought My Laptop le... Yeah...
Went to Funan around 4pm to shop for Laptop. Have been roaming between the PC fair , Funan and Sim Lim for the past 3 days. Decided on the Acer Aspire 5685 WLMI initially. $2389. With rather good specifications. but the shop at Funan wasn't willing to give me the discount and freebies that the Same retail shop in Simlim would give us. Thus Went back to Simlim to get that model.
However, when I went down there. There was another promotion, with slightly lower specifications, but going at $1589. Its a wooping $800 difference. BUT IT was out of stock and the showroom was closing, all heading down to help out in the PC show. So No choice, but to make our way down to PC show too.

Had a hard time choosing which one to buy at that point of time. In the end, decided to save money and get the lower end Aspire 5580. Save the $800 and perhaps build a better desktop to play games at home instead. That's after going to Funan, Sim Lim and eventually PC Show. 3 places within 4 hours. hmm.. haha..

Really thanks Ivan for spending the past 2 days moving around from place to place to compare the prices and the quality of the com. Gave me valuable advice , opinions and help. Allowing me to make a better informed choice in choosing this laptop.

My Sis was marvellous too. Very supportive all the while, and she loan me the full sum to buy it. Don't think there will be many sisters or brothers that will loan out such a significant sum without much thoughts. She's really nice to me. Appreciate the help and support that she gave. Actually she was the one that suggested that she'll loan me the money without me asking for it.Where else to find such a nice sister? !?

Currently using my new laptop to key in this blog. Not really use to the keypad at the moment. Still busy installing all the programmes and applications into the com. Still figuring out how to use VISTA. Hope to get everything up by tues or wed. No time to do so tomorrow due to Tuition. Yawnz... Busy Busy Busy.... Scheduled has been packed like crazy for the past 3 weeks and its taking its toll on me. Getting really tired of the relentless work. Finishing work in another 17 working days. Yeah.. its getting closer and closer... Counting down to my Birthday BBQ and Laos trip. Relaxation and Fun is coming real soon... Yipee...
